KIDS & CLAY! Ceramic Handbuilding Class for Kids

This class is exclusively for children ages 8-17 to explore clay and understand the foundations of handbuilding (If you would like to take a class with your child, the Kids&Family Handbuilding class is available HERE). Students will be given clay and instruction to create a fun and unique creation. Examples of some projects: fossil pots, bobble heads, animal sculptures/dishes, garden decorations, flower pots and more! Students will be able to decorate their creations with colored underglazes and the pieces will be fired with a clear glaze after the workshop.

• Clay, tools, brushes and glazes, & firing will be included
  
• Class is limited to 12 students & requires 4 students minimum for classes to run 
  
• Pieces will be ready for pick-up 2-4 weeks after the class 

Class Schedule:

• 10:00-10:30 Arrival and demo
  
• 10:30-11:45 Work period
• 11:45-12:00 Clean up and dismissal

Health & Safety - Students will need to wear closed-toed shoes, have long hair tied back, and avoid loose-fitting clothing which may get caught on items in the kiln yard. We are using Speedball underglazes for color, and health information can be found HERE.
