Wolters Market
Established in the 1940's, Wolter's Hacienda Market was a local Carmel Valley staple, selling goods, fruits, and vegetables, which were grown on the existing property. The space was also celebrated for its annual pumpkin harvest and display.
Additionally, the farm was one of the first to pioneer "organic" farming, never using pesticides or insecticides on any of their crops. The Wolter family's expertise in organic farming methods became a valuable resource to a newer generation of farmers who began farming organically in the 1970s.
